Nobody probably noticed but my journal has been invisible for pretty much a year now. I guess the place that was hosting my images no longer exists. Now it is just a template, but oh well.

would you kindly add her LJ to your friends (don't worry, I'm sure it will not be updated all the time). [info]wildboarmoore

I made a crappy website for my mom's book (yes, I cheated and used an editor because for one thing, my web skills aren't that sophisticated, and for another, google forced me to).

If anyone has any ideas on promoting it (without it costing money) let me know (she bought 750 copies that need to be sold).

New Job

I have a new job. I haven't had a new job in a long time. It seems weird. Starting on Friday I will be a state employee at the liquor store with Joe. I can't work the same days he does though, I guess it is against policy. He doesn't work there that much though, mostly in the Chesterfield store. Instead of driving 45 minutes to work I can roll out of bed and wander across the street! I'll still be at Kimball's for the rest of the season.

I have scratches all over my arms from trying to build the damn chickens a pen. Has anyone else ever tried working with chicken wire? I wouldn't recommend it. The chickens keep getting bigger, so I had to make them a temporary "pen" in the basement. They keep escaping somehow though. We settled on names for them, but we can't really tell them apart yet (thanks to the inspiration from Joanna and Joel we have: Noodle, Nugget, Popcorn, and Dumpling).

Yay! We found a Wii! After going a billion places, the Circuit City near Pheasant Lane had more than one. They had received the shipment 20 minutes earlier. Joe's brother Mark got one too.

Grr. I just got called out of work AGAIN. Kimballs is the easiest job...but getting called out all the time when I already don't get enough hours sucks. Sure beats Aylmer's though (although I made easily twice as much there...small price to pay for getting my sanity back). Its not even raining...is it going to rain? I guess it is my fault for always wishing away my one night shift. I have to work with the highschoolers at night and they are annoying. I accidentaly elbowed one in the face a few weeks ago (it really was an accident...but I didn't feel bad).

Life has been fairly uneventful (thus the lack of posting). I go to work during the day, and come home and play in the garden at night. We are getting chickens though. We really wanted to get a dog, but can't afford one. Plus I always thought it would be cool to have some sort of "useful" animal, and a cow is out of the question. Thought about a goat too, but someone might complain about that. We don't plan to eat the chickens if anyone is worried.

My friend Sarah is coming for a "sleep-over" on Monday and then Joanner is coming the following Sunday. Wow a semi-eventful two weeks.

Yay!

Joe has a new job already. The guy at the liquor store loved him and already hired him (pretty good for all the bureaucratic bullshit necessary to get hired to work for the state). If he does well there, and gets a full time position, it is a job that will take care of him for the rest of his life (and a rather easy job too, I'd imagine). Another plus is that he can walk there.

He may have a job at Game(I mean Dork) Stop too, which is good because the liquor store job is part time for the moment.

So he gets to go back to work tomorrow.

So...Joe got fired (and I've never seen anyone so happy. Ha ha). And I have an interview tomorrow morning. I don't really know what I'm going to say if they decide to hire me because I haven't taken my real estate test yet, and I honestly can't afford to work less at Aylmer's while attempting to sell houses. Its too much of a risk with one of us unemployed. Hopefully it is a very temporary situation. We got a 2 week severance check out of the deal...so at least we will be fine for that long.

We have lots of wedding pictures of course, but I have to sort through them and all. First I thought that everyone would enjoy this awesome picture of Joanna and Mark. Apparently they couldn't figure out which side they should be on... My dad dubbed Mark "wrong way Charlie".
More amusing pictures are coming soon...

Yay, I fixed my furnace myself (well, my uncle told me what to do, but I did it). I figured I'd start with the only good news from the last few days.

Our furnace doesn't have a functioning gauge to tell how much oil is in it, so we use the amazing technology of tapping it and listening for hollowness. I thought I had enough oil since it hasn't been cold so we've just been using it for hot water. Then my sister says "..uh...there is no hot water." Great. The tank was bone dry. I pretty much don't have any money at all right now. Credit cards are essentially maxed and the bank account has just enough to pay the bills that will keep people from taking our house and car or shutting off our electricity. That leaves no money to pay for $350 in oil (150 gall is their minimum delivery). But, hot water is necessary so we called and said no more than 150 gallons. They deliver a whole tank full 256 gallons in a 250 gallon tank. No...I do not have $600 because I don't even have $300. Joe had to call them and now they have to talk to their boss. Whatever. I can't pay them and it is their fault.

So I thought that since we now had oil the furnace would work, oh no. Of course not. Well now I have learned how to bleed out the air.

My mom is getting fired from her job. Why? Because her bitch supervisor doesn't like her. She doesn't like her because she will speak up if she doesn't think something is right and she will stick up for herself and the kids she works for. My mom cares more about the kids she works with than stupid petty shit, and now she is going to get fired. This is why I dropped out of the Elementary Ed. program. People like that lady made me decide that I couldn't teach where petty highschool popularity contests and cliques matter more than the kids. I think I'll write her a letter that says that too. That is just how annoyed I am. Here is an example of the petty shit. This woman told my mom she couldn't sit with the kids at lunch, and she told her she couldn't sit at the staff table.

I've been so frustrated lately that Joe and I have actually thought about cancelling or postponing the wedding. But really most of those expenses have been taken care of, other than the food, a couple tents and the carpet that I need to put in the basement in case it rains that day. By the way, those of you that are coming to my wedding, if you know people willing to lend us tables can you get a count out of them of how many tables and how big? I need to figure out if we will have to rent some. I don't suppose anyone knows somebody with a big canopy....no probably not.

I wish Joe would get his stupid paycheck this week. He started at his real job last week but it was at the end of the pay period, which means 3 weeks before he gets a check.

This is just a random message for Heather. Yes, we are alive. No flooding here this time (so far). Sorry I didn't call you, I lost my cell phone and I just found it tonight and I didn't want to call you late. We still need to hang out on a Monday.

90,000 PSNH customers lost power on Friday night. Most had power back by Saturday. When we were driving home on Friday night every house in Hinsdale had power...but I knew we didn't because I called the house and the answering machine didn't pick up. "Great", I said "that means there is a tree on our house".
Well...was there? )

This wedding stuff is really getting on my nerves. I just want to be very simple, but yet everyone actually wants to go...which messed up my plan. That and my ridiculous crowd fright has made me absolutely dread the idea of being married in front of 100 some odd people.

Recently another thing has been bothering me. My grandmother is really sick. She has Hepetitis C from a bad blood transfusion years ago. The hospital and the nursing home both sent her home because her white blood cell count is so low that they didn't want to risk her getting sick. She has proved to be ridiculously resiliant in the past, and my mother telling me that she might die soon has become almost a joke (because she always bounces back). This time though...I don't know. So everytime she recovers from her drugged up haze from the meds she was on before all she talks about is my wedding. She tells everone, nurses, doctors, whoever will listen. She made my mom cry when she said she probably wouldn't get to see my wedding. Basically, it seems like my grandmother cares more than anyone else about seeing my wedding, but there is no way she could travel to any of the places we had intended.

I've considered yet another plan. This is to have a very small ceremony at her house (she would be thrilled beyond belief I think) but have kind of a party later on in the summer on the day originally planned. Does this seem silly? I don't know what to do anymore, but I really just want it to be over with.

My stupid mortgage company sold one of my mortgages not the other. So now I have two mortgage companies, and one won't automatically take money out of my account. THEY SUCK. Now I have to actually send a check in the mail.

On another note, I found the rest of my bridesmaids outfits. This only applies to Joanna, who already knows and Heather whose internet doesn't work, but I thought I'd mention it. If I get around to it later (meaning if I feel like doing anything after faxing stuff to the insurance company to prove that the other insurance company actually did insure me. And then after faxing stuff to the company that does the hiring for Target to prove that Joe is really Joe and that he has his ssn, and not some dumbass named David Fux. Yes, someone named "David Fux" has been using Joe's ssn. THAT ISN'T A REAL NAME! But do they believe him, oh no...we had to verify his ssn.) I just wrote three incomplete sentences that sort of trailed off, but if I feel like it later maybe I will take a picture of the dress/skirt/shiny shoe combo for all to see.

I don't know why I keep updating all of a sudden. Maybe because I fixed the internet, or maybe because I'm not as stressed right now. I don't know. Here are a few random comments:

*So, I've seen the first of the Chronicles of Narnia twice now. Once with my parents, and then with Joe.

*I bought chocolate vodka too. It is really good.

*Joe won't shut up about wanting a new bookshelf in our bedroom.

*I stole the old Tandy Coco III from my dad just to play Kings Quest, but I don't remember how to use it. Maybe because it is technology older than me.

*My sister bought a shotgun. She comments "Its just a shotgun, not a new personality". I don't know though. My sister never was the gun toting type. I thought I had more to say about that, but I guess not. I don't like guns. One of my friends from school actually said "well you are a Republican, shouldn't you own a gun too?" Um...no. I think for myself actually, unlike most people I know. As for being a republican that entirely depends on my mood and the subject. My sister doesn't know how to think for herself though...she thinks now, through her boyfriend. That is what is worrisome...that and if you know my sister, you'll be worried too at the thought of her with a firearm.

Yay Wedding Dress

So...I bought a wedding dress on ebay.

I was going to have Lynnette make me one, but I saw this one and couldn't resist. I hope you aren't dissapointed. We'll see if the dress actually fits though. This one retails at about $400 something so, I got it half price. Not bad. It looks like a cupcake, as Joanna said, so I had to get it.

Ok...so I found my camera and got it to work. It wasn't working at all. So I gave up and slammed it on the table. It worked.

So here is a mini tour of my house. You can't see the second bedroom, attic room or kitchen yet (Joanna wouldn't want to see that there are dishes in my sink, just like the last time you saw my apartment. Ha ha. Only Joanna is supposed to get that). Because they look like a pile of crap. It was dark out, so there are no pictures of the yard. But there will be. If you care.

Penelope and Shot-glass Checkers

Our Living Room

The Bedroom
As you can see, Penny was following me around when I was taking pictures. I am rather pleased at the fact that my bed looks like a real bed. All it actually is is a really crappy metal frame with a headboard that I found in the basement (which isn't actually attached yet)

Ooo water and plants!

Our..bar...sort of thing

That isn't really a completed room. It also isn't a very good picture. But that is our "bar" and notice the fact that there is a bed conveniently located next to it.

YAY I have internet again.

Vinny Rose
So, I am now a home owner. I finally have internet again too.

I adopted a cat from the Mexicans. Here name is Penelope. They didn't feed her enough so she is really skinny.

People on Ebay really make me mad sometimes. I was auctioning some books for my sister while I was living in a hotel, and HOLY CRAP it took me THREE WHOLE DAYS to ship her book. Sorry, I have a life sometimes things can't be done instantaneously. So this girl kept emailing me constantly. She was really pissing me off too. I thought her attitude was really kind of rude. The reason her book was taking so long to get to her was because the POST OFFICE was being slow. If people want their books immediately, they can do one of two things A: Buy them from the bookstore and pay through the nose. or B: Buy them on Ebay, suck it up and deal with not having the book for a few days. OR they could even find out AHEAD of time what books they need! So I kind of went on a rant to this girl. I know she is going to leave me a negative comment and start a Paypal dispute (with no grounds to do so, she received the book and I sent it the way I said I would).

So is this annoying?

Message #3
Since you shipped it priority mail ( that is what I paid extra for) I want the tracking # sent to me so I can see the status of where it is.

Message #4
Hi,
To date I still have not received the book. You can say I'm not happy it took you 3 days after I paid you to ship it out and I still have not received it. At the least I will ask paypal to reimburse me $8.58 for not receiving it in 3 days. You should contact the post office to get your money back on paying priority shipping when actually at this time it's taking media mail time to get here. I will call the post office on Mon. It might be better for me to get my money back if I don't get it by Monday. I'll be in contact. :(

Message #5
Hi,
I still have not received the book. If I dont receive it by today I will ask for my money back. I did talk to your post office and my post office they could not do anything about the problem nor did my post office have it. I need to order another book from somewhere by tonight so I have it for a test on Monday. I think I have waited long enough ...Don't You? Hopefully it will come today.

Message #6
I finally received the book today. Please reimburse my paypal account $7.63 for paying extra for priority mail charges. It should have been only $3.58 for media mail shipping. You should be able to get your $ back from USPS. Maybe
you should think about getting delivery confirmation on all your things you sell in the future.

...Maybe you should SHUT UP since you obviously have no idea what you are talking about! How would delivery confirmation help her at all? That would tell me that she got her package...thats it. I hate people. I really, really hate people. I'm starting to become vindictive to rude customers too, and that isn't a good sign.

Ok, end of that rant. So I'm having a house-warming party on Sunday the 25th. Lynnette, you should come if you can. Joanna, you should flap your arms really hard to see if you can fly here. Um...and your mommy better come, and Mike. I should call them but if you talk to them first can you tell them and have them give me a call or something? And of course Heather will come if she isn't working.
